Fishing for steelhead and coho salmon has been slow but should improve in the coming weeks

Flows have stabilized after rains earlier in September. With cooling weather, trout fishing should improve. Anglers have been successful swinging flies for trout, and other methods including casting spinners can be effective.

Fishing for steelhead and coho salmon has been slow but should improve in the coming weeks. Fishing bait drifted along the bottom has been productive for steelhead. Drifting flies and small jigs also can produce fish.
