Access is open. The lake will be stocked this week. The lake was stocked last week with small brown trout. The bigger brown trout will eat the rainbow trout and brown trout that are stocked. Many of hte brown trout hang around the dock. The area at the mouth of Evening Creek is also a good area to try.

The best area for fly fishing for smaller brown trout is the southeast end where there is some aquatic macrophyte growth. Good hatches of Callibaetis mayflies occur here.

Fishing can be ok from shore all along the campground section for rainbow trout.

Call the USFS in Chiloquin for more information, 541-783-4001.
