Fishing should be fair for trout

The lake is accessible. The lake was stocked with trophy rainbow trout this week. Fishing should also be fair for Brook Trout and Lake Trout. The northwest side of the lake is best. The flooded timber area is good for Brook Trout. Keep on the look out for flying carpenter ant hatches and the traveling sedge hatch. This sedge runs across the lake after hatching to get to shore. The lake is currently 55 percent full.

There is not an improved boat ramp or dock on site. You will need to back your boat down the beach. As lake levels drop larger boats are very difficult to launch.

Check Fourmile Lake Levels.

Please report any kokanee caught from the lake. You can also call Lake of the Woods Resort for updates.
