Fishing for rainbow trout should be very good

Website

Fish Lake is 81 percent full and nearing its peak water level for the year. rising. Both the resort ramp and the USFS ramp are open for use.

The USFS reports problems with the water system. Portapotties have been installed, and the fish cleaning station will not be available this year.

Fishing for rainbow trout should be very good, with a fresh batch of trout scheduled to be stocked this week. This is a great time of year to get out and troll on Fish Lake, or cast lures or flies. Fishing with powerbait is also productive.

Some good-sized tiger trout and landlocked salmon have been caught recently, adding nice diversity to the catch

Anglers are encouraged to report catches of tiger trout or send other fishing reports to Rogue Fish District Staff 541-826-8774.
