Spring Chinook fishing continues to be fair in Tillamook Bay with moderate numbers of fish getting caught both in lower bay as well as in the upper bay near the Memaloose boat ramp and even up into the Trask and Tillamook tidewater channels. Fish are stacking up in the upper bay waiting to migrate into the rivers and fresh fish should still be coming in. Trolling herring is a go-to technique for the lower bay, especially out by the jetty's while in the upper bay spinners, plugs, and bobber fishing can also be effective.

Trout season opened in the rivers and bays on May 22nd. It's still a little early but sea-run cutthroat trout should start showing up in the bay by mid-month.
