Fish are still coming into the Alsea Basin making the catch fair. With rain in the forecast, we will likely see more fish being caught! The Alsea wild coho retention reopened October 25.
Fall Chinook is open on the Alsea but has been a slower start to the season. Fish are around the lower bay and are moving further up into the basin with the recent rains. Overall, the bite is fair, but we should see more fish being caught moving into this weekend after even more rain!
November 1st hatchery steelhead opened on the Alsea River. Though its early in the season it isn't unheard of to catch an early winter steelhead this time of year.
