Kokanee will likely start heading deeper as the lake warms. Trolling and jigging are both popular techniques for kokanee fishing in Wallowa Lake. However, jigging may be more effective for deep kokanee. Some kokanee have been very large this year with multiple fish over 5 lbs. being landed. Rainbow trout can be caught near the river mouth, and lake trout are dispersed throughout the lake.
