Irrigation releases from Piute Reservoir (generally beginning in mid to late April) can make fishing more difficult. Releases from Piute to Yuba Reservoir can happen at any time, so it's important to watch daily flows at www.sevierriver.org. Fishing is reasonable up to about 200 cfs - above that it gets more difficult.
