On Feb. 12, biologists Chris Penne and Paul Thompson and Park Manager Chris Haramoto reported good fishing. The fish seemed to be biting about 10 feet from the bottom and 15 feet below the surface. Try using brightly colored jigs tipped with a piece of mealworm. The ice is more than 20 inches thick, but access is tricky because it has receded from the shore.
