Renee and I fished the lake just before our trip and caught 18 nice trout up to 14 inches. The lake level has dropped a little. We fished the whole lake and could see fish everywhere. I usually throw flies and have great luck on the lake. This trip, nada! Meaning, not a one would touch my flies. So we went to trolling perch and Fire Tiger Rapalas. We had the best luck in 15 to 30 feet of water on the north end of the lake. After a nice day of fishing, we came in, and guess who was at the dock? NDOW was planting some catchable trout and some very nice-looking triploid-strain rainbow trout. Guess I’ll have to go back again this weekend for the bigger ones.

Good luck on your next fishing adventure. If you have a question. a report in our local fishing area or have a photo of your catch, send it to nevada@fishreports.com. Hope to see you on the waters. Good fishin' and tight lines.
