Fishing forecast (September through November): Fishing can be good to great during the fall months for a variety of fish species. The reservoir is full this year with a lot of flooded vegetation. Fish around submerged trees and shrubs for largemouth bass and black crappie. Northern pike are ambush predators who will lie on the bottom on rocky flats or points, waiting for prey to swim by. Pike will typically begin a feeding frenzy in late fall before water temperatures drop.
