Lake of the Woods Updates

Check with the US Forest Service on road conditions before heading out. Current snowpack is much higher than average and reaching these lakes currently would be difficult as the roads are not maintained for winter travel. The road to Lake in the Woods is clear, but not all the way to Hemlock Lake.

Three Rivers: Spring Chinook and summer steelhead are starting to show up
Quartzville Creek: Flows have increased from recent rains.
Sunnyside Park Pond: This pond was recently stocked
Walter Wirth Lake: Good access all the way around
Coos River: Anglers have been catching rockfish
Empire Lake Upper: Upper Empire Lake was stocked this week
