Trout are scattered throughout the lake. Anglers are catching mostly hatchery trout and a few cutthroat. The best time to fish is early morning or evening to avoid the wind. Trout fishing will be good for most of April. Anglers are finding success slow trolling along the weed beds. Once a group of fish is located trolling, some boat anglers are anchoring up and switching to casting flies, spinners, or jigs.

The lake is best fished from boats, but there is some bank access at a few spots along the lake. Anglers will want to keep an eye on the weather, because the lake can be very windy.
