Chinook and hatchery coho fishing on the Nehalem is all but done with most of the run having spawned or ready to.

The mainstem Nehalem doesn’t have any hatchery steelhead releases and the wild steelhead (catch-and-release only) tend to come in later -- usually mid-December through mid-April.

The wild coho fishery on the Nehalem closed after Oct. 15. There is no retention of wild coho allowed on the Nehalem for the remainder of 2022.

REMINDER: The Foss Road bridge (RM 15.1) is the upper deadline for salmon fishing.
